Workforce Training

Workforce Investment Act (WIA)

The Workforce Investment Act helps unemployed workers through job training, job placement and "other services." It's a little daunting at first, but if you're tenacious and get them everything they need, it's a wonderful program. They can help pay for training or other certification courses that can help you land a job.

If you live in Ventura county, contact your local EDD office and ask when you can attend their next WIA orientation meeting. If you live in Los Angeles county, contact your local EDD office or go to www.BuildWorkSource.com.
